Photography Annual 47


Communication Arts magazine, a professional journal for those involved in creativity and visual communications, has announced the winners of its 47th annual photography competition. Professional photographer, Deborah Hardee’s work was one of the 156 projects selected by a jury of creative professionals. The winning projects will be reproduced in the August 2006 issue of Communication Arts.
Deborah Hardee’s winning photograph of the Neurological Associates’ clinical offices designed by Rob Thornton of Erstad Thornton Architects, was created for web display and direct mail in support of the architectural design firm’s marketing efforts.

Now in its 48th year, CA continues to showcase the current best – whether it’s from industry veterans or tomorrow’s stars – in design, advertising, photography and illustration. Everything is reproduced with printing technology and attention to detail unmatched by any trade publication anywhere.

Published each August, the Photography Annual incorporates special reproduction techniques developed by CA, including quality 175-line color separation and printing on premium 80 lb. coated paper by one of the finest printers in the United States. Everything that was originally in color is reproduced in color at a size that allows the concept to be understood. Of the 8,461 entries submitted to the 47th Photography Annual, only 156 were accepted, representing the work of 140 photographers, making the Photography Annual the most exclusive major photography competition in the world.
